Classes, clubs, and recurring meetups where teens connect with other teens.
Updated July 13, 2026
This week's weather · It's a dry, sunny week ahead — great motivation to get out of the house and into a library program where the real summer fun is happening.
Summer is the perfect time for teens to find their people — and the Mount Diablo area has a surprisingly great lineup of low-pressure, interest-based hangouts where friendships happen naturally. No screens required (well, mostly).
Dungeons & Dragons®
D&D is basically a friend-making machine — collaborative storytelling means teens bond fast over shared adventures at San Ramon Library.

Do teens need to sign up in advance for library programs?
Most library events are drop-in, but a few fill up fast. Check the library's website or call ahead if you want to be sure your teen gets a spot.
What if my teen is shy or doesn't know anyone?
Interest-based events like D&D or sewing give shy teens something to focus on besides socializing — friendships tend to form on their own from there.
Are these events really free?
Yes — library programs are free with no library card required to attend. Just show up.
How do I find out if an event repeats next week?
Many of these — like D&D and Sewing Studio — run weekly all summer. Check the event listing for recurring dates so your teen can build a regular crew.
Refreshed weekly from real local listings.
