Diwali, the annual "Festival of Lights," is a holiday commemorated by millions of Hindus across the globe. During Diwali, oil lamps called diya are lit, fireworks and sparklers are enjoyed, and the triumph of goodness is celebrated. Families share sweets, wear new clothes, and decorate doorsteps with colorful art to invite happiness. Moraga Library has hidden several images of things traditionally associated with the Diwali holiday in the children’s section of the library.
