About

Want to start sewing and mending your own clothes, but don't know where to start? Learn some basic mending techniques for clothing and textiles at this workshop. Our volunteers will teach you how to attach a button, sew a patch, and fix other small issues. There will be a hands-on instruction session followed by time for you to practice your new skills with support from our volunteers. All supplies are provided but please feel free to bring your own items to mend and any other supplies you would like to use. We will have scrap material for patches or to practice on as well as other basic sewing supplies. No registration is required. This program is for ages 9 and up.
